Are YOU a Candidate?

Dr. Walt and his trained staff will complete an oral assessment to identify if professional whitening can be of benefit to you. An excellent candidate will include the following:

  • A current patient of Walt Orthodontics.
  • Over the age of 16 years old. If under the age of 19, parental consent is required. 
  • In good oral health with no cavities present. 
  • Light yellow or brown stain on the anterior teeth.
  • No pre-existing tooth sensitivity. 
* Philips Zoom! WhiteSpeed Whitening will not be performed on those who are: pregnant or nursing, immunocompromised or have a serious illness and those who are under 16 years of age.

Philips Zoom! WhiteSpeed Whitening at Walt Orthodontics

Your procedure begins with a digital intraoral scan of your teeth followed by a short preparation of tooth isolation. Next, sit back and relax during three 15-minute whitening sessions, with an optional fourth 15-minute session at the discretion of Dr. Walt.

 

At the end of your procedure, you will receive a bonus take-home touch-up kit with custom whitening trays. Any post-care instructions will be provided along with a before-and-after photo comparison (feel free to make your friends and family jealous!)

I am in a 15-month Invisalign® treatment, when can I complete my Zoom! Whitening procedure?

The custom and removable aspects of  Invisalign® allow the whitening procedure to take place at any time. The whitening material can penetrate through attachments. You would then use your aligners for your at-home touch-up whitening.

How long will my Philips Zoom! WhiteSpeed Whitening results last?

Whitening treatments help to remove existing stains within the last several years, but through consumption of coffee, smoking, or natural ageing your teeth can eventually become discoloured again.

What is the cost of the Philips Zoom! WhiteSpeed Whitening procedure?

Philips Zoom! WhiteSpeed Professional Whitening is an add-on procedure ranging from $300 – $500.

Can my teenager benefit from Philips Zoom! WhiteSpeed Whitening after their braces come off?

Absolutely! Whitening will have successful and long-lasting results for those over the age of 16. If they are currently in braces treatment then we would wait until their orthodontics are completed and whiten in one office visit.
